Fasting / 5:2 diet

What have you eaten today - Fast Day Style

Back on the bandwagon and need inspiration and motivation, am doing good old 5:2, anyone else up for a thread for 500kcal days?

Today:
Tea and oat milk
Coffee and soy creamer
Lettuce, kimchi and chickpeas
Butternut squash, white bean and lentil soup
An orange

Total kcals: 528

Sounds good - nice FD, are you vegan? How do you find the 5:2 as a vegan? I am veggie trying to cut down dairy ATM but finding it hard to give up cheese...

Yesterday was my fast day, I had nothing until dinner (just black coffee, water and herbal tea), then a bowl of homemade carrot and coriander soup with a wholemeal sandwich (filling was 30g cheese, pickles and tomatos and some leaves) , followed by a coffee which I planned to have black but DH made into an oat milk latte so came to 520 ish (would have been sub 500 without the latte but close enough!)... Tomorrow is another fast day and again I'll hopefully go through to dinner on 0 cals, then I have planned cauliflower steaks, small serving of potatos (either mashed with little bit of vegan spread or saute'd in a little oil) with some braised greens and maybe a bit of gravy or red wine sauce of some kind on the side if I have the cals spare)

I do eat a vegan diet, yes - it’s a been a slow transition over several years but actually I think works well for FD because you get way more veggies on your plate, but I do need to make sure there’s protein in there to stave off the hunger

I wish I could make it through to one proper big meal, but yesterday was my first successful FD in a really long time so I won’t beat myself up over it. I think should try to go back to black coffee as well to save on those calories.

Your FD sounds delicious!! It’s been an even longer time since I managed back to back FD
