Porridge in the first 12 weeks?

I'm a little confused on the advice by MM in the F800. Being in the UK I tend to find supermarkets don't label porridge as rolled or steel cut. If I find an appropriate oat, should porridge be avoided like other carbs I. E. Whole grain bread etc. or is it endorsed?

In phase one first 12 weeks on F800 (After initial 2 weeks phase)

I find rolled oats relatively easy to find in the supermarket, sometimes they are called “jumbo” and are usually supermarket own brand. I’m nearly 4 weeks in and have had porridge a couple of times a week, but usually all other meals that day are low carb. I try to keep my macro % at around 25/25/50 carb/protein/fat. So a 30g serving of porridge wipes out a fair chunk.

it's the 'rustic' or 'jumbo' ones you want.
the others are usually describes as 'fine' or 'quick cook'.

if you look at them side by side you can see the difference clearly.
