Fasting / 5:2 diet

First fast day today... any tips?

Have decided after a fair bit of reading to try out this 5:2 thing, I have 2.5st to lose so I'm hoping this works for me!

Does anyone have any tips for keeping motivated during a fast day? I'm stuck in the house with a potty training 2 year old so not much to distract me.

Also, do people find it easier to spread their 500 calories or to save them for the evening? I'm make lentil and chickpea Dahl with cauliflower rice for dinner which I haven't actually counted yet.

High Street eating - head for You Sushi. All their plates have calorie contents. I'd go for a bowl of miso soup (60) and an aubergine salad (90), but I also like the hand rolled crispy salmon skin wrap for 99 cals.

First fast day today after not fasting for about a year due to being pregnant!! Baby is 5months now and no longer breastfed. I'm hoping to drop about a stone but I am finding self discipline so much harder this time round!!

I am finding harboiled eggs my saviour. A couple of them mid-morning tides me over.

Moggy have a look at the salads in Pret. They have the cals very clearly marked, and a couple are v low. M&S, too.
