Low carb and 5:2?

I'm currently on the LC bootcamp and finding things very slow. I wondered if anyone had done any LC 5:2 dieting or are they incompatible due to the amount of fat in low carbing?

You can low carb and 5:2, no problem. Several folk have had success with that combination.
On the fast days, we recommend lean protein and veg for everyone. Gor low carbers, eat your fat on the other days.

For low carbers

Or do your intermittent fasting in a different way - only eat within say an 8-hour or 10-hour window each day, but do it every day. You eat normally within that time, but effectively have a mini-fast daily.

Thanks. I'm not sure intermittent fasting would work for me. I find it hard to control eating once I've started for the day (not sure if that makes sense! ). Even in ketosis and doing LC fully I find myself quite hungryHmm I am wondering if I just don't eat until the evening I may do better. My concern is that I get V grumpy when hungry...

Many folk save nearly all their cals for supper, i.e. do nearly 24 hours on zero cals, then have 500 cals. So, not much time to feel hungry again before bed.

Folk who do daily 16:8 don't generally lose unless they are eating fewer calories, i.e. they skip either breakfast or supper and make sure they don't make up those cals during the 8-hr eating window.

Thanks all.
I'm doing my first fast today and so far I'm not chewing the table legs... Wish me luck!
