Fasting 5:2 and sleeplessness

So it's going well. Lost nearly a stone. Didn't really feel hungry after the first day. My FDs are days when I teach all day so there's no time to eat anyway Grin

The only bugbear is not sleeping the night after a fast. I'm not hungry - even now (though I am planning a normal breakfast today). I am a wake-in-the-night-whittling type anyway Blush. I have tried:

Herbal Sominex
Reading
Hypnotherapy app
Decaf tea
Boring podcasts

Any ideas? Thanks

Sorry, no help here other than to say I'm the same. Tend to be restless and dream a lot (surprisingly not about chocolate and wine). You have my sympathy.

I've been doing this for 5 months now. I can't tell you when the change happened, but now I sleep just fine on an FD. I hope its just one of those things you have to give time and eventually will disappear.

Could try keeping 50-100 calories aside for a diet hot chocolate and custard cream just before bed?

This is my issue too! I just googled around, and found a few tips. Some suggest that magnesium supplements help, and I also read that a couple of kiwi fruits before bed could be helpful!

I'm going to try not having any caffeine and sugar after 3pm and see if that helps.
