Unsure whether to try for another baby with two children already

Do we have another baby?

We currently have two children - one is my partners from a previous relationship and then one together.

My partner was always a set no to having anymore children but now the subject of a third baby has come up and it's conflicting. I had accepted that I would have one biological baby and one bonus baby and was completely fine with this but now the subject has come up, its got me questioning if I will regret not having a second biological child even though I love both children so much.

I have a slightly odd question/slant on this! I feel that currently you seem to have a nice balance between ‘bio’ and ‘bonus’ as you put it. If you have a second ‘bio’ is there the risk that your SCD then feels a bit left out? Or feels that theirs is the ‘wrong’ half of the family…
I don’t know but wondered?

I mean SDC (step DC!)

The unsure should be a hint and I would think very carefully. You currently have a good balance between your DSC and DC. Is there a danger your DSC might feel pushed out if you were to have another baby. You need to be very certain of your decision and it sounds like you are far from a clear decision so the answer at the moment should be no.

I'd stick with the two you have. Sounds like you were content with the current set-up until recently. Life is easier with two, your partner doesn't want another one (from what I can tell). Yeah, stick with two.
