Period delay - medroxyprogesterone

Hi,
Has anyone got any experience with Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for period delay? I will be taking it 10days to stop a heavy period on holiday 🥺 worried about blood clots on plane/ side effects but it will ruin my holiday as have a child who will want me in the pool ALL the time! Thanks

I used Provera to delay when I got married abroad which was a 10 day holiday. It worked for the most part but on our last day I got a tiny bit of bleeding like the very very end of a period. I took it perfectly so it wasn’t because I’d missed a dose. It didn’t bother me because we weren’t using the pool that day and I’m not sure if I was an anomaly!
