Is Natural Cycles worth the cost after baby and while breastfeeding?

Is Natural Cycles worth the cost? I'm very frugal so I don't want to pay for something that won't work after I've had my baby but I don't want to have a coil (my only choice other than condoms). Additionally, would breastfeeding affect my temperature?

Natural cycles uses one part of what’s known as fertility tracking of natural family planning. There is a great really comprehensive book titled Taking charge of your fertility.
Id suggest getting it and also a teacher of the method - there are a couple of methods out there. Most use tempting with the special thermometer- more accurate, mucus observation and tracking.
Kindara is also a good app/website.
It takes time - especially post partum for things to settle down. Breastfeeding will affect your temperature in so far as it is frequent enough to prevent ovulation.
For me natural cycles helped to point to symptoms of PCOS which I found very helpful. But it really needs to be something you and your DH practise together. He needs to be on board too and understand how it works.
