I’m a mum of two. Son is 12 and daughter is 7.. they both have their birthdays soon so nearly 13 and 8. I’m just finding that life is getting much easier. Both of my children aren’t with my current partner. We have been talking about having a baby this will both be our 3rd child as he has two children exact same ages as mine. Any advice? Im currently 32 and working part time.

@Mummy93xx So between you both you'd have five children? Is your home big enough for them all? If so go for it!

SereneCoralDog · 19/08/2025 02:10

Do you have enough bedrooms?

It would be very unfair/undesirable to ask a 12/13 year old to share rooms with a baby brother imo so if sharing will be necessary i'd say no.

If you're not sure whether you're done having children, then you are probably not done.

Usernameunavailableagain12 · 31/08/2025 01:31

No don’t do it

Puffins4eva · 31/08/2025 02:18

No

Catcatcat111 · 31/08/2025 02:23

I wouldn’t have a third.

chambawamba · 31/08/2025 03:04

I wouldn’t. It may seem easy now but you will have teenagers soon and things will change!

Outside9 · 02/09/2025 18:42

I'm almost same age as you, but my kids are 3 and 1.

While I'm considering a 3rd, if I had spent that much time outside of the baby stage, I definitely wouldn't do it.

Absentmindedsmile · 02/09/2025 18:45

If you’ve got lots of money so will have no financial worries, and are in good health, go for it!

I think your kids have already gone through some disruption by blending families, and this will turn their lives upside down. Just when your son is doing gcse you'll be totally occupied by a baby/toddler and the house will be noisy with plastic toys everywhere and cocomelon on the TV.

I think most teens in that situation would distance themselves a bit and start using a friend's house as a base.

Definitely not.
