IVF - Can More Follicles Grow - Help! Advice needed.

Hey! New account as I'm a longtime lurker.
Okay - so I'm worried! I started IVF stims on Friday.
At my baseline scan I had a count of 20 follicles and my AMH was 24.67.
I attended my first scan today (After 3 evenings of IVF stims) and they can only see 9 follicles - in total, not based on size.
I'm really worried. I know a day 4 scan is early, but I struggle to understand why my follicles have dropped so much. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm on 150 of Gonal F. The nurse was shocked and asked my AMH as my numbers are so low.
Did anyone else have a low follicle number which grew?

Hey hey, it's so hard during IVF but realistically the follicle numbers can matter a lot less than you think.
I know it's so hard but the nurses and doctors often obsess about them and realistically it is quality over quantity. And they can vary over time, my husband called it the 'random follicle generator'.

My AMH was 4.7 going into IVF so way lower. My husband has very low sperm count at 0.1m per ml (why we needed IVF)and we were constantly told to manage our expectations.

On egg collection day, I had 7 follicles all had eggs, 4 were maturen I remember thinking there was no hope.

But, 3 fertilised and got to embryos. One perfect day 5, one perfect day 6 and one that was a lower grade and they didn't think was worth freezing given the other two. The embryologist said it was an amazing result so you really can never tell.

And my 10 month old from my fresh transfer is just about to have his lunch!

So please don't let it worry you. You are in with a good chance and I have my fingers crossed for you.
