Interested to hear your experiences as to why and when you knew your family was complete. And after how many children did you know?
Did you think with your head or your heart?

I'm confused….

Ha, your username resonates. We have 3 boys - I came home with DS2 broody and wondering when we could have another baby. I am totally and utterly done after DC3. Baby clothes, toys, everything is heading out the door when he outgrows it. It’s partly for practical (medical) reasons, but mostly heart…

A mixture of reasons I think. I still get that longing for another baby but my third baby definitely has the trickiest character out of the three, I feel older and more knackered and my house, car, marriage and finances all couldn’t stretch any more to fit another one.

I think I’ve realised that I might be one of those people who will never feel “done”. I recently had my third baby and throughout my pregnancy I was adamant that it was my last. I don’t really like being pregnant though, and as soon as he was born I felt ready to have another.

For practical (mainly financial) reasons, he probably will be my last baby, but I really would love a fourth.

Haha yea I think I am in this exact predicament. Not going to rush anything yet and will see how the next year or so goes with schooling, nursery, activities, work etc…
but another does occupy my mind all the time….
Of course, nothing is guaranteed. I am truly blessed.

My head knows it would not benefit the children I already have, so for me it's a definite no.
Heart doesn't really come into it.
