Hi
I am thinking to move to Letchworth considering the short commuting to London. Is it a safe area for families? I am looking for a property near the station. Is the area safe a day and night?
Thanks

Very I'd say. It's one of the most boring places I've ever been though tbh.

If you don't think Letchworth is safe, then it's unlikely you will think anywhere in the UK is safe.

Thanks for your answer. So is it a nice place to raise a family?

It's perfectly nice. Good schools, green space, not much by way of shops etc but plenty in drivable distance (hitchin is near with a buzzier town centre but very expensive house prices, Stevenage is near, with all the major shops but ugly town centre, St Albans not far for a nicer city and WGC also not far for John Lewis). Good trains to London and plenty of family friendly places nearby for days out). You would need to go to any of those other towns for night life of any kind, as there is not much going on by way of that in Letchworth really. As I said it's a bit dull, but very safe and fine for families .
