Hi,
I had the implant in for 11 years up until I had it removed in 2017 (when I was 28). I never had one period in that 11 years - it was bliss but decided to have a break and get my cycles back and had my daughter in 2021.
Anyway, my periods since having my daughter went back to being the horrible, painful monthly demons they were over 17 years ago and I couldn't hack them so I've gone back on it... however, I've had it in for a month now and I've just come on a period. It's not spotting, it's a full on period with cramping et all.
I'm 34 now, so know my body has changed since then but the reason I went back on it was to stop the pain of my monthly visitor but doesn't seem to have worked if I'm going to have a period every bloody month.
Has this happened to anyone else and did it settle? Do I just need to be patient!?
