coming off the pill - painful ovaries!

Can anyone relate to this and tell me how long it might last??

I stopped the desogestrel POP in March after 9 years on it. After a few weeks, it felt like my ovaries 'woke up' and started firing sharp pains into my hips. Other times they just ache in a dull way or have a short and sharp pain for just a few seconds.

It doesn't seem related to ovulation as it's off and on, throughout the month. I do get days where they are fine and I don't feel them.

It's both of them(!), not just one side. Having not felt them for 9 years, it's a bit surprising :)

I went back on the desogestrel for 6wks (long story) and everything was fine and it stopped. Then I came off again, and I'm back with painful ovaries again....

I've now been off desogestrel (the second time) for almost 3 months and it's still happening. How much longer before everything settles down?

I'm going to speak to my GP about it but I worry there will be a very long waiting list for an ultrasound...
