To take pill while waiting for an xray to find missing coil?

I had an ultrasound due to pelvic pain and discovered my coil is missing. I am waiting for an appointment for an xray, it's either fell out or moved. Im sexually active and and wondering can i take the pill with the coil still potentially inside some where? I have made an app with dr but its not until later next week. Tia

Yes I had to take the mini pill when I was waiting to find my missing coil. It turned out it was still there but the strings were awol
