15 weeks since last depo still no AF

Hi,

I had my last depo injection 15 weeks ago which makes it 3 weeks over due. I'm just wondering how long it takes for a cycle to return.

It can take a year or sometimes longer for fertility to return after depo. Hoping it is sooner for you

Up to a year on average.

Some women sooner, some later. It’s very unpredictable.

I came off mine in April last year, didn’t have my first period until October and they’re still not quite right though I am getting back to normal slowly, I’m still not in a regular cycle.

I was taking depo for at least 4 years. Came off it because I read it can take 2 years to get pregnant after you come off it. We aren’t TTC yet but I didn’t want to have to wait 2yrs when we are ready.

Took me ages to get a period after depo, nearly a year I think.

Thanks for your reply's. I'm not planning on ttc for the next year or so but before I had my first my periods came back within weeks of ending the depo or at least I felt like I was going to come on. Hoping this doesn't take to long to return back to normal.

My first period took 18 months, kept talking to my gp who told me it is completely normal. Didn’t feel like it to me at the time
