Any way to stop bleeding on the implant?

I can only have progesterone only contraception. I gave up with cerazette due to 10 day periods that were very irregular and the horrific mood swings I had. I do NOT want a coil.

Got the implant in December. Had an 8 day period when it was due but very light, day 24 I came on again (usual pattern was around 42 day cycle before that) and it's day 10 with no signs of stopping. I've googled and seen that this is so common and a lot of women get them removed as a result. As there is little else I can use and I'm not having a coil, my options are very limited. DP and I don't want to use condoms. He is getting the snip but in a couple of months plus the wait for the all clear.

Is there a way to stop the bloody bleeding?

No wonder it's a very effective contraceptive as you can't have sex on the stupid thing!

I bled for six months and then just gave up.
They were reluctant to take it out but I insisted. As you say it's very effective as you can't bloody have sexGrin
