Worried I’ll have to stop the pill again for holiday

Hi everyone

Background is I’ve been on and off different contraception pills for the last 10 years and all of them have made me bleed almost every day. I’ve tried about 9 so far. So I went to the gp and after a year of not taking anything my spots and acne on my back and shoulders were awful. The only thing that helped them clear was the pill. Obviously I needed to weigh up the pros - clear skin cons- spotting/bleeding wearing panty liners every day - no sex because of the blood.
The gp put me on a new pill... well now it’s not just spotting every day it’s actually clots and proper bleeding along with period pains. I’ve taken two months worth of tablets and it’s not changed yet. This is every day. He told me to wait it out for a few months to let my body adjust.

Now my issue is I am going on a luxury holiday on 1st November. I can’t have acne on my shoulders and back and I cannot be bleeding during my lovely holiday 😒😒😒

Im lost. Looks like I will have to stop the pills now.. get back to my normal period cycle and hope that it doesn't fall on my holiday dates. If it does I know there is a pill I can buy to temporarily stop the period however I’m also wondering if that would work considering the issues I'm having with the different types of pills.

Another note, periods are on time and totally normal when I'm not taking contraception.

Any advice or does anyone have the same symptoms? It looks like my acne will be on show 😞

Thank you
X

Also I’ve not had any children yet. I’ve not been offered any tests. Im starting to get a bit worried as all of the pills have had different doses of hormone so I’ve tried a varied amount. Is it possible that none of them are suitable?

The sun will help the spots. Ditch the pill and stay hormone free. In the same way you need to give the pill time, you need to give pill-free the time too to settle skin etc.

I stopped the pill three days ago. Still bleeding however hopefully my cycle returns to normal soon. Has anyone had any experience with multiple pills not working? Is this common?
