Hi,

I was on cerazette around 10 years ago, I had to stop it because I was one of the ones who reacted it very badly to it (mentally)

I've recently had an implant put in as pills don't work for me. I'm well aware that cerazette and Nexplanon are the same hormone and explained my previous issues with cerazette to the Dr and nurse.

I have now got the fear!

Has anyone that reacted badly to cerazette gone on to have the implant and found that they didn't get the same side effects?

Nexplanon contains etonogestrel whereas cerazette contains desogestrel so it may not cause the same issues

I had the implant 2 years, had it out in January.

It was horrendous for me. My anxiety rocketed. I put on a stone and a half, from a size 6 (8 stone) and I felt PMSy everyday.

Since having it out, the weight dropped off with no effort. Anxiety lessened, and pms only at time of periods now.

I don't have any contraception atm tho

My sister didn't get on well with the implant either.
