Can I start the pill at any point in my cycle?

I stopped taking the pill last month (early Nov) as I felt I didn't neee it.
Fast forward five weeks and I feel I do need it! I was to start taking it again. Do I have to wait for the first day of my next period? Or can I take it at any point in my cycle? I'm on microgynon. I'm pretty sure the nurse last time told me any time, but the internet is giving different answers. Thanks!

Anytime but you will need to use condoms as well for the first seven days.

So even if it's a few days or a day before my period would come I can take it. That's fab. Thanks Smile

To get full cover on it you should start it the firat day of your period. Surely it says this on the information sheet in the box?!

I don't have the box. I wouldn't be looking on the internet if I did haha
