Mirena was inserted Dec 2014, so nearly 3 years old. I've had spotting for 14 days but today it has suddenly gone to full on period. Since fitting it's been great, light period for 3-4 days. No spotting at all.
Would you see a GP? Don't want to waste their time as a quick google shows spotting is common with mirena. I think my main concern is could my mirena have run out 2 years early? I'm on medication which means a pregnancy would have to be terminated so do not want a contraceptive fail.
