Am I crazy to try 'Natural cycle' contraception

Am I being crazy to think this could be a viable option?

I'm fed up with hormonal options and also scared/freaked out by the coil. I'm thinking that just using condoms on fertile days could be a workable solution?

I don't want to get pregnant, but also don't want to use condoms every time me and DH have sex... thought this might help with knowing when we should 'wrap up'!

I've downloaded an app which works out your fertile days based on you inputting dates of your periods.

Has anyone used this method of contraception (successfully!)

It´s a great app, I have been using it for 2 years now and if you follow their directions, it really works. Its super easy to use and with this link you get a 20% off and a free termometer. For the best results you need to be constant while you measure your temperature.

I’ve been using Natural Cycles to prevent pregnancy for 8 months and I love it!! I was on various forms of contraception for over 8 years such as every type of pill, implant, coil etc and none worked for me! all had nasty side effects and I never had a ‘regular’ cycle. It took 2.5 months for me to ovulate after coming off the pill but now I ovulate every month and I’ve learnt sooooo much about my body! I still don’t have a ‘regular’ as it varies from cycle day 16-25 for me to ovulate, and cycle length varies but i can see what’s going on with my body from my chart and I still get a good amount of green days and I just feel SO much better in myself. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made and I’ll happily use Natural Cycles for the rest of my life, switching to plan when I want to have a baby then going back to prevent. Love it!
Here’s a discount link! Use this to sign up to Natural Cycles yearly plan with a free thermometer and 20% discount! www.naturalcycles.com/signup/secret?code=referralid20&referral=d0426466cc3c437fb8a78eebd4f7df86

I’d be happy to discuss, but do you only want failure stories of unplanned pregnancies? Or success stories of using the app for a period of time and not getting pregnant?

That seems very one sided? No wonder Natural Cycles is coming out badly in the media if it’s so biased?

MrsLCS · 03/09/2018 14:54

I've been using it for 5 months without problems. Feel so much better off HBC! I appreciate there are some concerns in the media right now but this seems like a cheap way to jump on the bandwagon.
