Copper coil - periods suddenly stopped after 4 years

Hi all

I had a copper coil fitted in November 2011 and I've had heavy/short periods every 4-5 weeks regular as clock work. Suddenly they have stopped and I haven't had a period for at least 2 months (now pushing 3 months).

Is this normal? ??

I have been separated from my husband for a year now and don't really need the coil. Would be worth having it removed or am I being premature?
