I'm due my first baby in a week but am thinking of what contraception to go on after the baby is born. I was previously on microgynon for years and years, never had any problems with it, enjoyed having the option of running packs together etc, however when I came off it when we started trying for a baby I went a bit loopy, crying for no reason for weeks etc, felt very odd, it did wear off but my cycles were completely random, massive gaps of 40-60 days between them and they never returned to normal before I fell pregnant about 6 months later.

Soooo I'm wondering if there is anything more suitable out there? How do you get on with whatever you use? Not sure whether to just put up with side effects of coming off microgynon as being on it was actually fine but we will want to try for another baby in an few years, but at least I'll know what to expect this time!
