Combined pill, hair loss & alternatives

I started taking Microgynon after 2 DCS but have had to stop after a month as it was making my hair fall out in handfuls (& other side effects as well, the most annoying of which was constant bleeding). I'm wondering whether there are any combined pills that are known not to cause hair loss (which I understand is common), or other side effects? (I've tried the mini pill, but didn't get on with that either.) Alternatively I thought about getting fitted for a Dutch cap...never had one before, anyone know if they are uncomfortable, difficult to use etc?

By Dutch cap do you mean a cervical cap or a diaphragm? I have a caya diaphragm but haven't used it.

Diaphragm I think - didn't know there was a difference!

They are not as reliable as the pill, cap less so than diaphragm.

Yeah, I've heard that. But given the problems I've had with the pill I'm wondering if it is worth the risk. I'm most worried about it being difficult to - er - get in and out, or uncomfortable. Aargh. Why isn't there a viable male Pill yet?

Because men don't have babies. Simple as! I have really struggled to find a pill compatible with me so I understand what you mean. GPs probably think I'm unreasonable to not want to put up with side effects! Would a man put up with the effects of the pill- I think not!
