I've just started a new relationship after being married for 10 yrs. ex had snip so no need to worry. now I'm faced with what to do. I don't like being on hormones really I like feeling like me but i think im too much of an anxious person to rely and trust condoms long term.

I have IBS so can't 100% rely on a pill. I've had the implant in the past and honestly it sent be barmy and awful thrush. tried to have coil fitted twice it, my body doesn't want it clearly!

as posted previously on another thread, at 36 told I'm too old for combined pill and have been given cerazette. but I've read huge negatives about it.

so I'm back to square one. any advice gratefully received. thank u

If you don't want hormones and cannot tolerate a coil, then your options are surgery (if you are sure you never want more DC) or barrier methods, or NFP.

Or if hormones are not totally out, there's nuavaring (which at least you can quickly and easily get rid of if you don't get on with it).

I have recently gone into cerazette for the first time and I've been fine!! I was worried too but it would appear for no reason!! Would it be worth giving it a try? You could always stop taking it if you didn't like it?

Well if you decide a diaphragm is worth a shot, be aware that obtaining them is not straightforward.... Good luck.
