Mirena advice. Can't feel it!

This is a bit of an odd one but I hope someone can help as a little paranoid.
A few nights ago in a dream I felt as though something popped out of me whilst dreaming. I felt around bed while half asleep but felt nothing and put it down to air release. I have a mirena coil but thought nothing of it until today when I started to bleed. This is unusual and I have only bled once since having it fitted lastvNovember and it was very light. Decided to have a feel for strings but have no idea what I am feeling for.
I am on methotrexate for Rhumatoid arthritis so can not risk getting pregnant. Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you xx

make an appointment with your gp or the nurse and ask them to have a look/feel for the strings. If they cant find them you will probably be referred for an ultrasound to see if it can be seen. You may need an x-ray and/or trans-vaginal scan to locate it. They can be expelled and they can become embedded in the wall of the womb and scarily they can also migrate out of the womb!!

I have had an ultrasound and xray and have an appointment for a trans-vaginal scan as my mirena strings have gone missing. It is apparently in my pelvis but not necessarily where it should be. I have been advised to take extra precautions as it may not work properly if it isnt in the right place.
