Did your period cramps feel different after childbirth? (Also mirena related)

I'm having my first period for 3 years having had a mirena after I had my 2 yr old DS and no periods since having it inserted. Last month I suddenly had lots of pain and bleeding for a couple of days, but this month I am having bleeding like a totally normal period but with dull pain in my lower stomach region rather than my pelvic area. Almost like indigestion. It just feels different to how I remember period cramps being and I was wondering if it was something that could happen after childbirth? Did your normal period cramps feel different after you gave birth? Could it be due to the mirena?

(I have been to GP twice and have been referred for an 'urgent' scan to check position of mirena but have to wait 20 weeks for it... I'm also not pregnant, I've taken loads of tests)

Mine do, they feel higher up and sort of 'pull'. I had a CS though so I assume I am feeling the scar pulling with the cramps.
