Removal of Mirena coil

I have just had my Mirena removed (as part of a sterilisation so laproscopically) anyway, I am bleeding. I expected to bleed as they told me they would be disturbing that area but it seems like a period. Do you have a Period straightaway when the Mirena is removed, like when you start taking the pill?

Not sure how I distinguish between post op bleeding and period bleeding.

You can have a withdrawal bleed as your body adjusts to the drop in hormones. For me the bleeding started a day later.
