Tried to have mirena coil yesterday but doctor could not fit it in

Anyone had a similar experience ? Did you try again ? They gave me the pop pill instead and said if I experience side effects I could try having the mirena fitted again. I have had the mirena fitted before ttc dd and before ds (taken out 4 yrs ago) .It was quite stressful experience as I was also waiting 2 hrs before I was seen !!! Not sure about the pop as I really liked the fact my heavy , painful periods totally disappeared with the mirena.

What was the problem? I had to go baxk as they couldn't find my cervix

The dr said he could not get the actual coil into my womb and that it may work ok on another day . He said there is nothing physically wrong ! It has taken me 2 yrs to get to this clinic !!!! :(

if it's the same as mine it will vary through your cycle - one week later they inserted it first go with no problems. How recently had your period finished when you went?
What did the dr suggest?

My cervix was in spasm so they had to give local anaesthetic gel and TNT spray. Perhaps they could try that.
