Rapid weight gain on Microgynon....what are the alternatives?

I have been put on the pill due to having large cysts on my ovaries, endometriosis and a lot of adhesions in the hope it will halt the rapid growth of the cysts.
I was put on the mini pill but had to come off of it due to bleeding all the time now my doc is trying me on Microgynon.I have noticed my moods have been pretty bad and I have gained over half a stone in 2 months!!!
My doc isnt back till the 14th of this month so I to wait to get it changed and wondered if there were any ladies out there who have a suggestion to what pill may work for me.
ANy advice would be great.

I've had problems with weight gain and the pill since I first went on it to sort out my problems with my periods when I was about 14, I ballooned and my appetite was totally out of control. The last pill I was on was Yasmin which I requested from my go because it claimed to not increase weight or appetite, it did have other side effects though that are common with most pills, well for me anyway, boobs were uncomfortable and went up a cup size and I had low mood and no real sex drive but hormonal contraceptives don't suit me- hence why there is a four week old baby asleep next to me hope that helps, I went on Yasmin about five years ago so there may be a newer pill on the block it didn't seem to increase my weight or appetite.
