Switching from cerazette to depo and missed pill

Hi, have posted my complicated history under breakthrough bleeding and cerazette. Stopped taking cerazette finally Sunday morning due to nightmare bloodfest which crippled me. Took tranexamic acid, then back to drs today and was given depo which should tide me over and stop bleeding. However, was told I should still take cerazette for 7 days as I missed a pill - I thought the bleed was enough to constitute a real period. Am reluctant to take both together and am inclined to think that depo should work straight away and would be enough contraception in iself as the proper bleed was only 2 days ago and so is in the 5 day window. Any thoughts or is this just too complicated???

The depo works straight away that is what I was told anyway. I also think the idea of taking both at the same time is a bit OTT your body surely does not need that many hormones in it.

Hi Bella2010star, thanks for that, it was along the lines I was thinking really so have made the decision not to take any more pills and bin them.
