Hello, I'm all booked in for a sterilisation/ablation and have to have a prostap (?sp) inj to induce a temporary menopause. I've been told this will initially set off bleeding like a normal period but will then thin the lining of the womb in prep for the op which will also include an ablation (removal of the linig of the womb).
Has anyone had any experience of this? If so I'm desperate to know the side effects of the inj? I ask as I'm booked to go away and if the inj will cause health probs during my stay then I may postpone the op. Have been planning this trip for months and not been away minus the kids in years!!!
Cons told me that inj would immediatly induce bleeding like a normal period. Inj is booked for 12 days before we go away. Are there any other side effects like intermittend bleeding or mood swings etc? Cons also mentioned hot sweats but I'm sure they won't be a bother in the short term.
