progeterone only pill + me = zero sex drive

Am on progesterone only pill due to breastfeeeding ds2...
Have absolulety zero interest in sex... Has anyone else experienced this or is it just a coincidence?
Any advice for alternative?
Have done copper coil before but bad experience getting it out so reluctant to do coil again.
What is implant like?

Have no experience of implant but this prog only pill caused so many problems for me - basically I got horrific depression on it and blinding headaches and sex drive went out the window.

I came off it after about three weeks as I was crying so much and even though my skin looked wonderful on it, I couldn't stand it.

Condoms are your best bet until you've stopped B/f.

I went back to my old combined pill after I weaned my DC with no problems.

yup, I lost all sex drive on progesterone pill too. I thought it was just that there was something wrong with me! It's so ironic - I take contraceptives and I don't want any sex, I don't take contraceptives and I want sex!

Yep, I was on various POPs for years in my late teens and early twenties. They all had this side-effect and various others. The depo-provera injection was even worse in terms of killing sex-drive.

Eventually I just got fed up of the "let's just try another one which might suit you" advice from GPs and gave up on hormonal contraception entirely. Have been much healthier, happier (and more interested in sex) ever since.

Yes. Killed mine dead and I'm about as horny as it gets. Not even severe PND or any ADs every killed off my libido the way progesten-only contraception did.
