Hmm I would say not. Why no stitches?

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 21/08/2010 11:56

No stitches Shock? that really doesn't seem right. Can he get to see an out of hours doctor?

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 21/08/2010 11:57

Or was it glued (and the glues has come out)?

LadySanders · 21/08/2010 12:10

apparently its normal that they don't stitch or glue... but i would assume the edges should have knitted together

is it bleeding? How deep
does it feel hot to touch ?
pain?

get it seen by someone at gp surgery

brimfull · 21/08/2010 12:13

his bollocks too damn heavy and have pulled the wound apart Grin

LadySanders · 21/08/2010 12:16

oozing a bit but not bleeding and pain doesn't seem too bad.

i'm struggling to get near it cos he is very squeamish and nearly passes out when i touch it which isn't handy... but its big enough to get a fingertip in (not that i have done so, i hasten to add)

awaiting call back from clinic that did it but they wouldn't be able to see him til end of day so just hoping to get some reassurance to offer him before then

well, we are back from doc, and yes it IS normal... if only they would tell you to expect to see a large hole there for 2 to 4 weeks, it would save a bit of anxiety!
