On pill, no period, not pregnant?

Well that says it all really.

I've missed 2 periods so far, have had 2 preggers tests and thank goodness I do not appear to be up the spout.

I had to have some strong dose Amoxycillin recently but all the reference material on the net suggests that shouldn't make any difference.

I am taking the low dose Estrogen / progestin (Mircette) pill.

I'm just so relieved I'm not pregnant, but now am stuck with the 'no periuods' mystery.

Anyone have any relevant experience / clues?

How old are you?

Could you be perimenopausal?

The antibiotics shouldn't affect your cycle but the illness that caused you to need them could do.

Are you otherwise well?

My sister had this, mentioned it to her doctor who did a couple of tests to check it didn't indicate anything worrying (it didn't). My sister's doctor said that you should be having periods while on the pill and suggested she come off it for a while.

No idea about the antibiotics.

I'd mention it to your doctor at your next pill check (if you are due one soon), or pop along and see them just to check it out.
