Golf lessons, anyone's child take them?

Hi, my DD is 5 next month and has asked for golf lessons as part of her birthday present. I don't know anyone who's child has had them so not sure what to expect. We have found a local academy and the price of the lessons isn't too bad, but i'm now starting to wonder how pricey it may get if she wants to continue. Anyone had any experience with juniour golf?

Thanks

ds has had lessons since he was 5 or 6.
he loves them, he's 7 now,
they get to play on the course occassionally but ds usually plays 9 holes with dh at local course

Ds has had lessons since he was 4 and loves them (now 5.6). He has lessons with two friends at a private course but I haven't experienced any pressure to join. Junior membership rate is a lot less than adults. It was the pro's first experience of teaching dcs that young but he enjoys it and the dcs are very enthusiastic.
