Hello

The PTA want to do an event to celebrate the head of 18 years leaving. Someone mentioned donkey rides!! (but they cost £400) I thought of Punch and Judy and brass band. Wanted a nice atmosphere but not spend too much really as we are a small primary school. The pupils will do some form of entertainment.

Thanks

presuming head is leaving end of term what about a traditional fete/fairground, with punch and judy, a cake stall, hot dogs etc (will also make money for school)a clown or two wandering around, face painting, pin the tail on the donkey, the throw rings over a hoop game (can't remember its name), tin can alley, teacher's mini football match (15/20 mins each half)or something equivilent, raffles and then at the end of it all you could have children doing a play saying thank you to head and how much he/she will be missed. You could ask parents to donate prizes for games and raffles,

BBQ and treasure hunt using clues from information about the Head. Children perform a show, message book for parents and children to sign and band playing music. If you ask the parents there will probably be some musicians/ entertainers amongst them who may be willing to help.
