Why is it my fault when there are 2 events on at the same time?

Guide Camp & a dancing competition

I am obviously to blame

I am insisting on first come (& booked) first serve so DD is off to guide camp

But the trauma

Haven't had that yet (well obviously having DSes not likely to have the exact same situation as you).

& then the dance teacher will have a go (I assume)

But I would lose the money for guide camp

You have my sympathies.

Dance teacher would be totally unprofessional if she had a go.

It often happens to us and I do find it annoying to find the week before a show x child is off on a Guide trip but that is when they have known about it for 2 months and not told me.

I have the same rules for dd. If she makes a commitment she carried it through.

Don't know location of camp but could she do both? We have had children go from our brigades camp as they have school things/exams/GCSE results etc. They have gone for the day and the come back.

I would insist on first booked comes first too.

But I have collected DSs early from cub/scout camps for important cricket matches.
