sounds like a really daft question I know...but have googled, even used that old fashioned thing called yellow pages, phoned Tesco's, and haven't come up with anything. (except on-line shops and I'd rather buy in the flesh) should I be trying sports shops? or what? am a bit mystified.

Millets used to do some, not sure if they still do? I take it you don't have a tack shop nearby. Tesco definately did a small selection a while ago- hats jods and boots I think. Not sure where else...

ChopsTheDuck · 15/12/2008 11:38

A saddlery.

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 15/12/2008 11:39

Have you searched for tack shops and / or saddleries? Perhaps you could also try asking at your local horse riding shop?

ChopsTheDuck · 15/12/2008 11:39

SugaryTits · 15/12/2008 11:39

hatwoman · 15/12/2008 12:11

gosh - never expected so many responses! thanks all.

I'm in Kingston...will try google maps

now I've looked under "saddlery" (in yellow pages) I've found one in Epsom. was really hoping I might be able to find something in Kingston as that would be walking distance but looks like not. the riding school is shut today and I'm not in a "wait til tomorrow" type mood. I want my life sorted now. please. (this is a christmas present)

Countrywide is good. They have branches everywhere. Sometimes stables sell stuff too.

OrmIrian · 15/12/2008 12:16

There's one at Chertsey. Any good?

hatwoman · 15/12/2008 12:17

thanks all - looks like it's Countrywide in Chertsey, Argos, or a tack shop in Epsom. good old mn.

Robinsons have a huge supermarket thing at Haydock - but they may be online (or have something similar near a more local racecourse).

georgiemum · 15/12/2008 12:38

Argos. I saw some last time I picked up a catalogue. Or E-bay.
