I've googled, ebayed, yellow paged, you name it. I want to be able to go into a shop with DD, get her to try some stuff on (she's v. small for her age) but everything I see is for riding stables.
I need somewhere in the Herts/Beds/Bucks region. (pref SW Herts)

there's a little equestian (sp!) shop right near me. also our local tesco sell equipment.

Try this

Quite reasonable. Not sure where exactly you are but there seems to quite a few around your sort of area. Got DD's boots and jodphurs from there.

I got a saddle on e-bay. It was a shop - so if you look around you'll find what you need. I will look around and see if I still have the name.

Tesco Superstores do some I think.

Tesco Brookfield farm Cheshunt have them instore, otherwise online. Very reasonable prices.DD's riding instructor recommended we get them from there.

clam · 28/10/2008 19:15

Cheshunt is a bit of a hike from here, but there's another one a bit closer. Also, the riding school have recommended The Tack Haven in Kensworth. Am going to try there tomorrow, but will check out Tesco on line first, as a price comparison. She really needs to try stuff on, so can't order anything online.
Thanks all.

I have a pair of pink chaps going begging. for a skinny 8-10 year old.

try Decathlon for cheapness; alos try looking for a little place on a farm as they are often cheaper. My riding school recommended me somewhere.

clam · 28/10/2008 19:20

Ooh, the Tesco stuff looks interesting - except all the girls' jodhpurs are out of stock!!
Think they might be cheaper than a specialist stockist, anyway.

Do we have UK Decathlons now? Always go when we're abroad, for cheapy sports stuff, be great if we could go here too.

clam · 29/10/2008 16:53

Thanks everyone. Went to Tesco Extra this morning and got the whole lot, (including chaps, thanks robinpud!) very reasonably too. Would never have thought of going there.
