Guitar music book for ds - recommendations please

Ds has been having guitar lessons for 2 terms now, and I'm a bit cross that we don't have any music or anything for him to practise over summer.

In fairness, the guitar teacher did suggest a book to buy, but ds (not yet 9) can't remember what it was. I kind of expected a note about it, rather than just telling the kids what it was.

Any suggestions accepted.

Is he learning classical or rock guitar?

My DS has been doing really brilliantly with a set of books called The Guitarist's Way. I will try to find a link for you. He's on Book 3 now and he can completely play the guitar.
