Anyone used ChessKid or other ways for children to learn chess?

DS likes chess and at times loved it, i want to keep him on the track, unfortunately i can’t find anywhere near me in person for him to join a club but came across this chess kid app. Has anyone used it or if you use any other app / ways to learn chess, would love to know. (I know nothing about chess)

my son uses Duolingo App with chess practice. He’s 12 and it really has made a huge difference.

My DS8 uses Chesskid and watches YouTube videos from Chesskid. He’s really good and really enjoys it. We just have the free membership and that works for us.

I run a chess club at school, would his be likely to set one up if he spoke to them?

The school has talked about it but they haven’t found someone, I am watching the space!

good to know your DS is benefiting from it. Can I ask what he does in the free membership - the app kept asking me to upgrade and appears only be able to watch very basic lessons without the gold membership.

Does he just use the live play for practice or is there anything else useful you can do with the free membership? Thanks!!
