Hi parents
With the summer holidays approaching I’m seeing lots of people planning thanks to teachers for all their hard work throughout the year. Rightly so, teaching is a tough job.
But can I make a plea that you remind your children to say thank you to the volunteers who give up evenings and weekends to make sure your child can enjoy football, scouting, guides, choirs and other activities that are reliant on volunteers.
We are so often forgotten about and while we don’t expect the gifts and cards that teachers get a thank you goes a long way.
We volunteer because we are passionate about what we do, but we love a heartfelt thank you from parents and children.
With the chaos at the end of the year it’s understandable that people want to usher their children home but it only takes seconds and means such a lot!
