Hi, I’m a working mom, living in London who’s always felt a million steps behind when it comes to planning my kids' after school and holiday activities. I never do drop off or pick up so I feel totally out of the loop in terms of knowing what are the best after school activities and holiiday camps. I feel really guilty that my kids are missing out!

My daughter is getting really into dance, ballet scpecifically. I'm putting in a lot of work trying to learn about about the various holiday courses/camps and performance opportunities like LCB but I am always on the back foot.

Do you know of a good websites where I can find a directory of kids activities? I've only found this one for dance classes www.calenda.co.uk and this one for vocational level dance https://artdeballet.com/best-summer-ballet-intensives-in-europe/#google_vignette

Would appreciate any tips. Thank you!

Local FB groups probably your best bet.

How old is she? What level of dance are you looking at?
I just googled "dance classes near <location> and then picked the one with the right timings. But my DC only ever wanted to do it for fun. They didn't want a career.

A definitive list doesn't exist. But for higher level opportunities and associate schemes/summer intensives look on the https://www.balletcoforum.com/forum/9-doing-dance/ threads

You can look on the RAD, BBO, ISTD and ITDA websites to look for teachers who have qualified and now run schools or just google ballet schools in your area

I've always thought RAD and BBO as the best but as another PP has said, look on balletcoforum doing dance and you will get loads of information. If you start a thread and ask for dance schools in your area you will get recommendations

There is an instagram page called 'balletmaze' that seemed to be trying to pull some links together in one place but I note it's been quiet after an initial flurry.

Balletco forum is the best place to get 'clued up' and you will find that once you do a few intensives or associates schemes then you start to hear about other things through word of mouth. It's a small world and the same kids go to a lot of the same things!

Thank you all so much, I will check out balletcoforum
