Time for a new thread for spring!

Come and talk about music lessons, choosing instruments, exams, auditions, specialist schools, orchestras or whatever other music activities are going on. Everyone is welcome, from those with total beginners to those whose children are studying music at advanced levels. Ask for advice or share successes or struggles.

We went with RCM. She's really enjoying it. I think there is not much in the way of aural training (suspect the aural at guildhall, which is heavily solfa based, is probably much better). But everything else is good, great teachers, lovely chamber music. Not completely sure it's worth the ££££££, but will stick with it another year to see...
