Hi,
We are considering moving to London from Sydney, I have a 10 year old and a 7 year old.
How much does afternoon school clubs usually cost? Do all schools have one? Is it difficult to get in?
also, how much does holiday clubs cost and do they run all day?
We will be living in SW or West London zone 2 or 3.
Thanks

Not London
school clubs are usually a few ££ after school or before school.
Generally waiting lists
Nurseries or childminders do school runs to collect kids.
School holiday clubs depend on age and what they usually do - some are better than others - try FB for groups the ones here are about £20 a day so can’t advise on London prices. They generally play in parks and woods so no fancy days out as such.

We live in SW London. After school club is £10 per day until 17:45. I think breakfast club is similar, but we’ve never used it. It’s never over subscribed. Prices seem to vary quite a lot between schools.

We use a handful of different holiday clubs in the area (there are loads to choose from) and they cost between £35-60 per day.

Thank you for your quick reply.
The cost is comparable to what we currently pay in Sydney.
Do holiday clubs run all day? 8-5?

There are some holiday clubs here that run 8-6 , sometimes you have to pay extra for the 8-9 and 5-6 bits. I pay about £50 for that time a day in Hertfordshire.

I budget £50 a day on average. 8-6 would be closer to £60 for some camps as they often charge extra for anything before 8.30 or 5. We do have some that are closer to £30 but they’re generally 9-3.

Our wrap around is £15 until 6 and morning club £5 ish.

it’s worth looking at camps in the private schools even if you’re not attending yourself. We’ve generally found better facilities and the bonus of air con in the summer.
