Funding for international competition travel

Does any one have ideas on where DD might look to find funding to get her to the finals of an international competition? She has made it through the preliminary rounds but the final is in Europe and the competition offers no funding for travel there or accomodation. It seems harsh if the only people who can take aprt i the in person final performance round are those who can afford international travel and accommodation.

I know the guy who got the organ put at London Bridge Station @lanthanum don't think he'd approve! Dh once funded someone to have a few organ lessons too - its amazing how these things can take on a momentum.

She's now found a way to earn some money to pay for her expenses so she's going!

For future, the Turn2Us website has a good grants search - it helps you find things relevant to your postcode, and there’s all sorts of weird and wonderful funds out there.

Thanks @EduCated - I did try that but sadly nothing came up. DC is in a bit of a grants hiatus - for music most are either under 18s or postgrad/early career and there's nothing in between.

Don't forget weddings, funerals, baptisms etc - we pay £85 a time for the first two. It's worth making contact with the local funeral directors to get jobs at the crem. My DD's found it was pretty lucrative (though singing rather than playing)
