Mon 6th-Thu 23rd February 2023‘Uxbridge Rock Show Live!’ in the ground floor atrium of Uxbridge Central Library, High Street, Uxbridge, 5 mins walk from Uxbridge bus & tube station and the town car parks.
Harrow & Hillingdon Geological Society present an exhibition of all things geological: hands-on rocks - minerals and fossils that can be handled; local geology and building stones; glowing fluorescent rocks; decorative stones; coprolites (fossilized poo, including some from dinosaurs!); which rocks to look out for on your holidays.
Open all normal library times, 7 days per week and some evenings. Suitable for all ages, toddler to senior citizen, no prior understanding required, just interest.
The show will be stewarded at all times by enthusiastic HHGS members to chat with visitors.
Local schools are being invited to bring classes in for hands-on practical sessions as we are open the weeks either side of half term as well as over the half term for free family holiday activities. Call Uxbridge Library on 01895 250714
