Music stand - for tall boy

Hi, I hope there are some music players (or their parents) who might have a recommendation.

My son is now 6ft tall and needs a new bigger music stand to use for practise. Does anyone have any recommendations I can buy online.

Many thanks.

(My stand lasted forever as I am short!!)

I am a similar height to your DS and a normal stand works for me. What does he play? I am guessing trumpet as they always have them up high. I would say that the stand shouldn't obscure the face, so maybe he is just wanting it up too high?

Violin- it's really not tall enough.

He should be looking across at it, not down.

He wants to practise standing.

What does he have now? If it's a folding lightweight one they seem to be shorter. For home we have the Tiger black metal non folding one and it goes up reasonably high, but not extra tall. Might be worth trying one of that design though if currently using a folding option

Search for 'heavy duty orchestral music stand' on ebay, there are quite a few. You probably want to go for one of the black ones with holes in. The one I just looked at extends to 59". I can't get my device to upload a link, sorry .

Thank you both. I will investigate those.
